Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 18, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Personal rclone Sync, a private Google Drive integration, accesses and uses Google user data.
Purpose
Personal rclone Sync is used solely by its owner to synchronize files between the owner's local computer and the owner's Google Drive account using rclone. It is not operated as a public application or service for third parties.
Google user data accessed
The application may access Google Drive files, folders, file metadata, and related account authorization information as permitted by the Google OAuth scopes granted by the owner.
How Google user data is used
Google user data is used only to perform file-management and synchronization operations initiated or configured by the owner, such as listing folders, reading files, uploading files, updating files, and deleting files when a configured synchronization operation requires it.
Storage of data
The application does not maintain a separate public database of Google Drive contents. rclone may store OAuth credentials and synchronization-related configuration locally on systems controlled by the owner so that authorized synchronization can continue without repeated sign-in.
Sharing of data
Google user data accessed through this integration is not sold, rented, or shared with advertisers or unrelated third parties. Data is transferred only as necessary between systems controlled by the owner and Google Drive in order to perform the configured synchronization.
Data retention
Files remain in their source and destination locations according to the owner's synchronization settings and retention choices. Locally stored OAuth credentials remain until the owner removes them, revokes access, or deletes the rclone configuration.
Data security
Access credentials and configuration are maintained on systems controlled by the owner. Reasonable measures are used to restrict access to those systems and credentials.
Revoking access
The owner can revoke this application's access to Google Drive through the Google Account security and third-party access settings, and can also remove the associated rclone configuration locally.
Limited use
Use of information received from Google APIs is limited to providing the file synchronization functionality described on this site and is intended to comply with applicable Google API Services User Data Policy requirements.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated if the way the integration accesses or uses Google user data changes. The current version will remain available at this URL.
Contact
For questions about this private integration or this policy, contact the application owner using the support email shown on the Google OAuth consent screen.
